And there are good reasons for this:

Transmission of the novel coronavirus from surfaces to humans cannot be ruled out, according to the RKI, and therefore basic hand hygiene in interpersonal contact is advisable. Be it to shake hands with a clear conscience – which you want again at some point – or to avoid the transmission of other germs and bacteria through surfaces. In case of doubt, these could also weaken the immune system, making one more susceptible to virus infection, such as the Sars-CoV-2.
